Two weeks ago the mod of the year awards have started the 1st phase of the voting. Two of the 100 nominated Mods are the work of the Freelancer community. They belong to the 100 best mods worldwide and defended this position against thousands of other mods eventhough most of them are based on new modern game engines.
First Id like to thank all those which already voted for all the Freelancer mods out there (also for those which didnt manage to reach the Top100).
The nominated mods are:
Freeworlds: Tides of War
http://www.moddb.com/mods/freeworlds-182
and
Crossfire (which also got a top100 position in 2007)

Unfortunatly Discovery is not nominated this year. It would have been cool if more FL mods would have reached the 2nd phase of the mod awards.
The Mod of the year awards are a chance not only to push the nominated Mods but also the Freelancer game and its community as a whole. The higher these two nominated mods get voted in the 2nd phase the better for the entire FL community. WE show that FL is still alive. WE show that there is a high potential in the community. WE show that our old FREELANCER can mess with all the other new games out there. Help us and vote for these two mods. Push Freelancer to the top!
Thx
